The Department of Applied Human Sciences offers study programs that are unique in their form within the German higher education landscape, including Psychology with Focus on Rehabilitation (B.Sc.), Rehabilitation Psychology (M.Sc.), and Applied Childhood Studies.
The program Early Childhood Education & Care - Practice, Management, Research (B.A.) was designed as a career-integrated, part-time program, particularly for experienced educators. It is the first program in Saxony-Anhalt to offer an academic degree specifically for early childhood educators.
These programs are complemented by the Elementary Education track, covering three key areas of social competence.
Accreditation of Degree Programs
The university has successfully completed the system accreditation process. Retroactively from April 1, 2024, the university's quality system has been accredited by the Accreditation Council until March 31, 2032.
