The Theory-Practice Transfer Coordination Unit is responsible for

• Teaching: Supervision of work placements in Applied Childhood Studies and Early Years Education
• Research: Academic development of the theory-practice transfer within the degree programmes
• Transfer: of the online forum ‘Praxis reflektiert’ and the symposium of the same name
• Evaluation: of work placements and placement organisations

Applications and forms

The Office of Regional Cooperation is the point of contact for

• arranging work placements,
• suggesting topics for academic dissertations,
• job vacancies and
• part-time jobs.

Over 2,000 geographically organised addresses of organisations in the social economy are available to students on degree programmes within the Department of Applied Human Sciences should they wish to apply for work placements, Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis topics, or jobs.

Once students have completed their compulsory work placements, the Office for Regional Cooperation checks the relevant documents – such as the work placement report, the work placement certificate, the work placement contract and the tracking form – and forwards this information to the Examinations Office for the awarding of credits.
