In close contact between regional business and the university, research projects develop again and again that are just as interesting for practice as they are for professors and students. The Institute for Water Management and Eco-Technologies (IWO), founded in January 1994, serves the University as a scientific institution belonging to the Department of Water Management, Evironmental, Civil and Safety Engineering. In so doing, the focus is on practice-oriented research topics in the broad fields of water management and recycling & waste disposal management.
