Internationalisation at Home

“Internationalisation at Home” involves taking internationality and interculturality into account when designing curricula, teaching and learning processes, co-curricular programmes and services. The university is expanding its activities in this area as part of its Internationalisation Strategy 2016-2020.

An important objective in this regard is to provide all students with access to essential international and intercultural knowledge, experience and skills in their local teaching and learning environment (“at home”), which they can make use of during their studies, in their professional lives and also as citizens. In addition, the university is actively supporting the process of integration of international students, teachers and researchers in to the life and activities on campus.

“Internationalisation at Home” is also incorporated as a work and research topic at the Centre for University Didactics and Applied University Research (ZHH). The ZHH is part of the university’s “Quality Pact Teaching” project, “Quality Squared”.

Internationalisation Projects

Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences supports intercultural exchanges between its students through various projects and campaigns. These enable students from every department to make contact with one another, find out more about the foreign placements - be they study or work placements - undertaken by other students, and familiarise themselves with other cultures.
