International students can apply for the Otto-von-Guericke-Scholarship. The study-accompanying scholarship is endowed with 6000,- Euro and is paid out in monthly installments of 500,- Euro.

• Letter of application with details of

         - Your choice of study program and previous course of study
         - Your social commitment (e.g. involvement in student self-administration, supervision of sports groups              self-administration, support of sports groups, youth work, representation of the interests of foreign                students, etc.

• Proof of your social commitment (e.g. certificate) The application also includes an assessment of your performance by a lecturer at the university.

Reference letter:

The application also includes an assessment of your academic performance by a lecturer of the university. The name of the assessor must be communicated to the International Office in good time before the application deadline. The teacher opinion must be submitted by the teacher directly to the International Office via julia.krumm@h2.de by 7 June 2026.

AWARD CRITERIA

• International student of the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences (Magdeburg campus)
• Very good to good academic performance and commitment to the society
• Enrollment at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences for the entire scholarship period (October 2026 to October 2027), as this is a study-related scholarship
• Can be sponsored by another German organization, a foundation, or a company. However, one aim of the scholarship to reward students who successfully complete their studies on their own and do not receive any other support.
