• Labor- und Feldstudien zum Umweltverhalten und zur Wirkung von organischen Schadstoffen in aquatischen und terrestrischen Ökosystemen (z. B. Verteilungsprozesse, Bioakkumulation, biologischer Abbau, Ökotoxizität)

• Entwicklung von Probenahmeverfahren zur Bestimmung der Gesamt- und bioverfügbaren Konzentrationen von organischen Schadstoffen in Kläranlagen, Oberflächengewässern, Sedimenten und Böden (z.B. passive sampling)

• Analytische Methoden zur Spurenanalyse von organischen Schadstoffen in der Umwelt mittels HPLC-FLD/UV, GC-MS usw (z. B. Pestizide, Pharmazeutika, Industriechemikalien)

• Analyse von anorganischen Wasserinhaltsstoffen einschließlich (Schwer-)Metallen, Mineralien und Nährstoffen mittels ICP-OES und spektralphotometrischen Methoden

• Messung des gelösten und gesamten organischen Kohlenstoffs in wässrigen und festen Proben

English:

• Laboratory and field studies on the environmental fate of organic contaminants in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems (e.g., partitioning, bioaccumulation, biodegradation)

• Development of sampling methods for determining the total and bioavailable concentrations of organic contaminants in wastewater treatment plants, surface waters, sediments and soils (e.g., passive sampling)

• Analytical methods for the trace analysis of organic contaminants in the environment using HPLC-FLD/UV and GC-MS (e.g., pesticides, pharmaceuticals, industrial chemicals)

• Analysis of inorganic water constituents including (heavy) metals, minerals and nutrients by ICP-OES and spectrophotometric methods

• Measurement of dissolved and total organic carbon in aqueous and solid samples
