On 29 October 2025, the Germany Scholarships (Deutschlandstipendien) were awarded at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. Fifty-eight students will now receive support for one year – with 300 euros per month.

If you, as a business ownder, representative of an institution or as a private individual, take on the financing of at least one annual scholarship of 1,800 euros, the federal government will add a further 1,800 euros. Scholarship holders thus receive an income-independent grant of 300 euros per month (in addition to BAföG benefits) for at least two semesters and at most until the end of the standard period of study, so that they can successfully concentrate on their university education.

The funding is independent of income and amounts to 300 euros per month (50 percent is paid by a company or private individual, 50 percent is financed by the federal government) and is not offset against BAföG.
